Unity

‘Family is the seed in which society grows.’ - Unknown

The family unit is an important element in the social stability of the colonies. It provides emotional and ethical guidance for infants, as well as stability and support for all within the structure. Even more so, it creates a bond between members of the Unity which enhances drive and devotion, which creates an almost fanatical desire to fight for and protect their kin.

There are very few restrictions in terms of who can form a Unity. Anyone who has completed adolescence and is freely willing may enter into a legally binding Unity, so long as everyone involved is in concurrence. People can also join a Unity after it has been formed under the same conditions.

Once a Unity is formed, individual Value is no longer recognised. Instead, Value is determined based on an assessment of the group. In most cases, the Unity Value (UV) will generally not exceed its highest Valued individual.
