Series Overview

History of Sol is an action/adventure sci fi novella series set in the distant future. Humans colonise what’s left of the solar system after the homeworld is long ago destroyed by an unknown disaster.

As time passes and wars are fought, history becomes twisted, changed, corrupted. This is how you maintain control over a civilisation that has computers to remember for them.

The removal of Belief and the enforcement of Knowledge. This is how the human race lives on, even when Earth is gone and long forgotten. Civilisation adapts, colonising the rest of the solar system, clinging onto life in even the most inhospitable and uninhabitable environments.

The problem is, secrets don’t stay secret forever. History has a way of coming back to haunt those who abuse it, and it is about to tip all of Sol upside down. This is what the inhabitants of the Martian Cargo-ship Galaxy are destined to find out. In their possession, is a strange and mysterious Artifact, and they are unable to stop the sequence of events that is triggered as a result.

All they can do is learn as much as they can along the way, and try to survive.

"Thoroughly enthralled I must admit. The technological concepts were impressive, as well as the political management of all the characters. It had a great finish, but still left me wanting to know where the story goes." - Guye Mirecki

"I'm not really a book reader, but I found it easy to get into and then I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next one! " - Stephen Billingsly

Raynor Spartin

Despite having all the best opportunities in life, all he really wants to do is escape from his past (and his parents) and lay low from the imperious authority of the Colonies. But the allure of the Artifact beckons him. He is constantly confronted with new questions about the nature of his reality, and he will stop at nothing to find the answers.

Toney Diputs

It is exceedingly rare for an unsanctioned child to be in the Colonies without any record, or a predetermined purpose in society for which he must fill. But Diputs is one such case, where no one (not even he) knows how he came into being or from whence he came. He does have suspicions, and his instincts tell him that the less the Colonies know about it, the better.

Lisa Separa

Part of an experiment—that failed—Lisa is one of only a few Cyborgs in existence; people grown in labs for the fundamental purpose of being seamlessly integrated with technology; to be the next evolution of humanity. How is she supposed to fit in to a society who are frightened of what she could become, if she were allowed to unlock her true potential?
